How do I install the factory joint which is thicker than the heater wire?
The Manufactured factory joints must be installed under the floor finish and completed embedded with the flexible tile adhesive or self levelling compound.
This manufactured joint (where the heating element meets the power supply cable) and the end cap (where the heater terminates) should never be left exposed to air and or installed within the wall or skirting.
To eliminate the difference in height between the heater wire and joints, cut a channel in the sub floor to place the joint in.
Ensure that the joints are completely embedded within the adhesive or self levelling compound. Do not tape over these joints are air pockets will result in failure of the manufactured joints.
