How do I install the DCM-PRO Factory Joint?
Make sure that ALL heating cable, including factory joint, is positioned under the final floor finish. Be sure to completely embed the cable and joint in a flexible tile adhesive or self levelling compound.
Cut a channel into the DCM-PRO mat so that the manufactured joint sits at the same height as the heater.
Do not bend the joint as this may damage both the factory joint and/or the heating element within. Secure the joint to the floor using a piece of duct tape over the cable before and after the joint, but not over the joint itself. Taping over the joint may cause air pockets resulting in failure of the joint.
