Loose Wire Underfloor Heating

Why is my floor not reaching the temperature set?

If you underfloor heating system is not reaching temperature this may be due to downward heat loss.

If your heating system has been installed on an un-insulated  concrete slab or over an unheated space and insulation boards were not used, there will be a considerable amount of heat loss into the sub floor.

The downward heat loss will cause your floors to heat up more slowly and take longer to reach the target temperature. It is always recommended that the Warmup insulation boards  are installed on top of an uninstalled base to stop downward heat loss resulting in much quicker heat up times, making your system more efficient.

An un-insulated sub-floor can take in excess of 4 hours to heat.

If you have installed insulation but the floor still does not reach the desired temperature contact Warmup Technical support for more assistance.
