Where do I place the floor probe when installing the DCM-PRO ?

 

The floor probe for the Warmup thermostat should placed centre of two element heating runs at least 300mm into the heated area.

Ensure that the floor probe does not touch or cross any of the heating cables. Feel free to cut or chisel a channel into the insulation or sub-floor to avoid the sensor probe from raising the floor height.

Additionally, feel free to secure the floor probe to the sub-floor by placing strips of tape over the low voltage communication wire to hold the probe in place. Do not cover the actual probe tip with the tape. This may result in a damaged probe or inaccurate probe readings.

Lastly, make sure to check the resistance readings of your probe before, during and after installation. Your multimeter should be set on a 20k ohm scale and get resistance readings between 8 -12k ohms.
