Loose Wire Underfloor Heating

What can I do if the heater is too big for my area?

The heating wire in some of our heaters can be adjusted to better fit the space in which it is to be installed.

The Loose Wire system gives you the flexibility to alter the wire spacing. The spacings between each run of heating element can be brought down to a minimum of 50mm and a maximum of 100mm.

The DCM Pro system also gives you the flexibility to alter the wire spacings. The spacings between each run of heating element can be 60, 90 and 120mm.

The StickyMat system also allows you to reduce the space between the heating wire runs. Simply remove the wire from the mesh backing and use like the Loose Wire System.

Please note:
The heating element cannot be shortened or cut at any point.
Do not curl up any excess heating element and hide under a fixed unit or through a wall – this would be a serious safety risk.

If you have accidently damaged your heater whilst installing, you should also check to see if you’re covered with our SafetyNet Guarantee.
